Privacy Policy — Shaders & Textures for MCPE

Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how MC Mod Studio ("we", "us", "our") handles information in the Shaders & Textures for MCPE app for Android (package: com.mcshaders.textures). We built the app around a simple idea: you should never have to hand over personal information to enjoy shaders & texture packs for Minecraft.

Not an official Minecraft product. Not approved by or associated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft.

Information We Collect

We do not collect personal information. The app requires no account, no sign-in, no email address, no phone number, and no access to your contacts, camera, microphone, or precise location.

The following data is stored locally on your device only, and is deleted when you uninstall the app:

• Your favorites list
• Your download history
• Premium items you have unlocked
• Cached catalog content for offline browsing
• App preferences and settings

None of this local data is transmitted to us. We have no servers that store personal data about you.

Third-Party Services

The app uses a small number of industry-standard third-party services. Each may process limited technical data as described below, under its own privacy policy:

• CAS.AI (ad mediation) — serves the advertisements that keep the app free. It and the ad networks it mediates (such as Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, Unity Ads, Liftoff/Vungle, ironSource, InMobi, and Pangle) may process device identifiers (e.g. advertising ID), IP address, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads. • Firebase Analytics (Google) — anonymous usage statistics such as screen views, country, and device model, used to understand how the app is used. See Firebase Privacy & Security.
• Firebase Firestore (Google) — delivers remote app configuration only. It does not store user data. See the Google Privacy Policy.
• Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — anonymous crash reports (device model, OS version, crash stack traces) that help us fix bugs. See Firebase Privacy & Security.
• Cloudflare R2 (Cloudflare) — delivers the catalog and content files. Cloudflare keeps standard server logs (e.g. IP address) to operate its network. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Advertisements

Shaders & Textures is free and supported by advertising, delivered through CAS.AI mediation. Ad formats include banner, native, MREC, interstitial, rewarded, and app-open ads.

Premium content is unlocked by watching a rewarded ad — never by payment. Once unlocked, content stays unlocked on your device.

Depending on your region, you may see a consent dialog letting you choose between personalized and non-personalized ads. You can also reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization at any time in your device's Google settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

Analytics

We use anonymous, aggregated analytics (via Firebase Analytics) to understand which features and content players enjoy. This data cannot be used by us to identify you personally.

Data Sharing & Sale of Data

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the ad and analytics providers listed above — each of which acts under its own privacy policy. We may disclose information only if required by law, or where necessary to protect the safety of our users or the public.

Downloads

When you install a shader pack, the app downloads a content file to your device and opens it in Minecraft. Your download history is stored locally on your device and can be deleted from the My Downloads screen at any time.

How the Catalog Works

Shaders & Textures is a catalog app: the shaders & texture packs are not bundled inside the app. The catalog — listings, images, and downloadable files — is delivered over the internet from our content delivery network and can be updated, added, or removed at any time without an app update. An internet connection is needed to browse and download; once cached, browsing works offline.

Some items are created in-house by the studio; others are made by community creators and included under open licenses or with permission, always credited. We make reasonable efforts to curate the catalog, but content is provided “as is.”

Content Moderation & Reporting

We want the catalog to stay safe and appropriate. New content is reviewed before it is published, and we periodically re-check published items and remove anything that breaks our guidelines.

If you find content you believe is inappropriate, harmful, infringes intellectual property, or breaks the law, email us at maricamy9104@gmail.com with the item name and a description of the problem. We review reports promptly and remove violating content — including removal on request from a rights holder.

Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a third-party service used by the app, please contact us and we will help address it.

Data Security

Because we do not collect or store personal data on our own servers, there is no studio-held personal data to breach. The third-party services listed above are established providers that maintain industry-standard security practices.

Your Privacy Rights

Because we hold no personal data about you on our own servers, most privacy choices are things you control directly on your device — clearing your favorites, downloads, and unlocks, resetting your advertising ID, or uninstalling the app. Where applicable law grants you rights over data processed by the third-party services above, you can exercise them as follows:

• EU / EEA & UK (GDPR): the rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, and port your data, and to withdraw ad-personalization consent at any time — plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
• California (CCPA / CPRA): the rights to know what is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (note: we do not sell your data).

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
